NORTH ISLAND CHAMPIONSHIPS 2019
For those of you who have not been able to follow the action in last months Championships, below is the final position of the top 20 and ties.
The tournament itself was extremely strong with 20 of the 56 entrants rated over 2000. All credit must go to the eventual winner, Michael Steadman, who successfully defended the title he won last year.
The chance to go for the "Hat Trick" next year must be tempting!!

THE BLUE TRAIN CHESS CLUB
No major happenings, happening at the Blue Train but with the club starting to hit double figures, plans are afoot to introduce "Refreshments" during the evening to make things a little more "Social".

A day the club is looking forward to, with host Chris Evans, planning a mini sumptuous lunch for all involved.
